I am running the exact same unit with no problems. First, what version of Mandrake are you using. I have had absolutely no trouble with 10.0 and 10.1 OE.

Hi there, I have a compaq pressario 2570 and would like to enable the built in tft and a separate crt to work at the same time ... not in clone mode. Currently I am running man 10 newest kernel which ever that is and am using the built in radeon driver which comes with man 10. I haven't done anything special and it currently works in clone mode when the crt is plugged in, but I would like to have two separate desktops working if possible. Any help is very appreciated. Hi there, I hope someone will be able to help me with this problem. I just got a pressario laptop (2570) and would love to use linux on it. After trying several different distributions, mandrake 10.0 did the job (no crashing) and I am able to get everything to work except the 802.11b card (lan-express). Now 10 has built in drivers for this through the orinoco_pci driver. My problem is that for some reason under hardware in drakconf the card shows up correctly as prism 2.5 ... but under the network section it shows up as the ati: cpu to pci bridge. I have no clue what is going on, but it seems that the system is just looking to the wrong place. Someone please help. Jason
