aRTee Posted April 13, 2004 Report Share Posted April 13, 2004 Not bad, except for the last phrase, which seems a foolish suggestion: If the open-source community wishes to see what in its eyes would be a more accurate reflection of the true costs of Windows and Linux, it could do worse than commission and fund its own independent review into the market. Yeah right, RH, Mandrake, SUSE and/or Debian proclaiming that their own distros are the cheapest, safest and nicest to use... How independent is that? And what a waste of money... If Mandrake would throw away my clubmembership fee in that way, I'd be really upset. They should spend it on improving the distro...!
