nggalai
Oh, and has it even been determined that there is an Official update source for 10? I thought cooker was it for now for bug fixing. So we have no choice but to cook.....everyone is cookin' "official" as in "Sascha didn't define an update_source yet, hits the 'update' button in Drakconf, and gets a list of Servers to chose from". no urpmi.addmedia for update sources, for me. 93, -Sascha.rb
Dr. Ephemeron
Well everything seems to work ok except the white paper icons for me. I tried changing the theme and it no work. I just hope this works better than before because it would lock up when I had multiple nautilus windows open alot. Not sure why or what exactly I had to do to reproduce it, but with it doing that it pretty much made it worthless for getting anything done. bvc
wait for updates, revert to the default, or go mirror hopping and endlessly play with dep_hell :D . Like I just saw someone (I think Liquid Zoo) say......he calls 10-CE Cooker Edition. That takes patience.....sometimes days. Well, off to debian B)

Ghil Vertefeuille
hope too, because I'll be forced to give a try to something else until the OE comes out...
bvc
My source doesn't usually go down long. Based on the past, I'd say the updates are being applied right now and will probably be up with in a few hours. Just guessing based on the past though. Cooker is on a freeze except for updates. The mirror itself is up but mandrake dirs are not....plf is. Oh and looky what they have now; ftp://ftp.club-internet.fr/pub/unix/linux...e/updates/10.0/ B) I love this french mirror  Edited April 7, 2004 by bvc
Dr. Ephemeron
Hey I can copy from the HD to my floppy fast now! :D The gformat still leaves the floppy bad though... I gotta use mkfs.msdos still.

sttroopers
I bit the bullet and did a complete reinstall. After downloading and installing the 600+ megs of stuff everything seems to be working ok except the icons and theme manager. Hopefully we'll get a fix for this soon.
