klemm
Hi I insalled 10CE on a free partition to give it a testdrive before I switch my box in whole. Installed, got all the available updates that I ever find (really lot of it) Now it seemed fine, but when I started to add applications like Mozilla, Sylpheed and so on... They do not get listed in the KDE menu. I also installed Gnome... but that one does not have a menu at all (really nothing) What is wrong? or how to fix it. Ixthusdan
logging out and logging back in should work, and you can also run menudrake and save the settings. I'm not sure what's up with gnome!
scoopy
Probably have autologin selected. You can select/ deselect this In Mandrake Control Center (configure your computer) under boot and autologin. Then on next restart, you will login via the command line: user password startx (or kde) I use kde and the way I would start gnome then is to install "xtart". Then instead of typing startx, I would type Xtart (with a big x) and this gives me a list of the desktops I can fire up.
