I updated my menu using kdemenuedit..but when i checked the following folders i found nothing

~./.kde/share/applnk

~/.kde3.2/share/applnk

/usr/kde/3.2/share/applnk

The first 2 show empty directories, and the 3 shows some stuff that looks NOTHING like the menu that shows up on my kmenu..

so where is this stuff stored. I'm editing as root right now because i thought maybe that would edit the global settings, but i'm not sure where any of this stuff is stored.

Any help guys? I kidna want to edit the menu to make it look a lot better.
