energymedia
Hey all, I am once again attempting to configure VPN client access from my Mandrake 9.2 linux laptop to both CISCO VPN devices and Windows VPN servers. I have configured access using webmin and when I attempt to connect I recieved the following error: .. connection failed! Check the log messages below for information why. Mar 16 11:17:43 emedialpt002 pptp[6102]: anon log[ctrlp_rep:pptp_ctrl.c:243]: Sent control packet type is 7 'Outgoing-Call-Request' Mar 16 11:17:43 emedialpt002 pptp[6102]: anon log[ctrlp_disp:pptp_ctrl.c:834]: Received Outgoing Call Reply. Mar 16 11:17:43 emedialpt002 pppd[6179]: pppd 2.4.2 started by root, uid 0 Mar 16 11:17:43 emedialpt002 pppd[6179]: Using interface ppp0 Mar 16 11:17:43 emedialpt002 pppd[6179]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/pts/0 Mar 16 11:17:43 emedialpt002 /etc/hotplug/net.agent: assuming ppp0 is already up Mar 16 11:18:13 emedialpt002 pppd[6179]: LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests Mar 16 11:18:13 emedialpt002 pppd[6179]: Connection terminated. Mar 16 11:18:13 emedialpt002 /etc/hotplug/net.agent: NET unregister event not supported It looks to me like the problem is that it is trying to connect via ppp0 instead of eth0. If this is a correct assumption, where do I go to reconfigured this? Any ideas?
Michel
maybe this helps (if you're connecting to a microsoft VPN-server ..cisco not sure, you maye need to have an extra module ): http://linux.ncl.ac.uk/vpn/
