Steve Scrimpshire
Yes, I have searched here and Googled. I know that WinXP stores some info close to the end of the drive and that is why there are some problems resizing the WinXP partition very small. I've read here about disabling the virtual memory in WinXP (or having it delete that cache when it is shutdown), but that does not seem to work. Can someone give me a detailed explanation of what they did to allow MDK's installer to lower the size of the WinXP partition?
paul
er right click my conputer-->properties-->advanced-->settings-->advanced-->virtual memory tick no paging file, then apply -->restart after restart --> defrag then you should be able to resize. However I have just done this with a new lappie, and it didn't work ... so i bought  partition magic 8, booted off the cd, and resized the partitions no prolems :) PM me if you need PM8 :P
