hippocampe
I am looking for a good IDE for programming C/C++ in Linux. What are the available (free of course!) choices? I already tried Kdevelop but it makes a lot of mess with the number of files it creates for a simple program. Thanks.
DOlson
Currently I'm using Kate, as you can have multiple panes opened with different files (or the same files) opened at once. To compile, I use a pane that has a terminal session opened, and to open all my files at once, I use the project plugin. It works good enough for me. fuzzylizard
Didn't we just have this discussion. Anyway, I use either emacs or vim for my programming. However, I am starting to use another program called jEdit. Although it is written in Java, it understands C,C++ and allows for multiple panes and a console pane.
