null
Been reading a little about this. So what's the big deal with it ? I understand that it is basically based on Suse linux, with some cosmetic changes. Is the only big deal with it, that it has Java incorporated into it already so that linux users don't have to screw with installing Java into their linux distros? (I had a hard time getting JDK installed on my RH 9 box (but got it done thanks to this board). According to what I have read about it, it will have alot of eye candy and look very nice. Anyway, anything worth discussing about JDS ?
null
ok, apparantly it is not an interesting subject. anyway, I found out today while reading something about it - that you will have to pay for it per year or something like that... so I guess I'm not interested in it after all. phunni
I don't know much about it, but I think it's aimed at business users anyway - hence the pricing (not that I agree with selling software by subscription...)
nggalai
Na, it IS an interesting subject, but ... well, I for example am still waiting for the info material I ordered by Sun three weeks ago. And it's not even as if I used a coupon or web form to do so, no, I had a meeting with Sun and asked for the stuff. Still, nothing. Until there's more material readily available, there simply isn't much to discuss. 93, -Sascha.rb
phunni
There was an article on it in a recent Linux Format magazine - which I haven't read, but others who may have might have a little bit more of a clue than any of us...
jlc
For the most part, this is just a re-package of Suse. http://madpenguin.org/modules.php?op=modlo...article&sid=
