Do you mean connecting one gaim program to another gaim program without the need for a server or protocol in the middle? If so, I don't think so. However, more details would help. However, more details would help. by direct connect I mean something similar to what you can do in AIM...like when you direct connect and the other person can insert pics and such in the IM window. It's really not that big of a deal for me, I prefer trillian but I can't get that to work with wine...but that's another story :P I pretty much figure that I can't do the direct connect with GAIM and that's fine, I was just double checking to see if anyone else has been able to do it. Urza9814 Posted February 5, 2004 Report Share Posted February 5, 2004 doesn't work for me either...but I've never had it work on 3rd party software...didn't work on GAIM, didnt' work on trillian, rarely even worked on DeadAIM, which is more of a plug-in than a IM client...just get used to the fact that it doesn't work, and get a webhost with a lot of space and a bad system for checking for hotlinked files (like web1000.com or angelfire.com)...that's what I do :-P Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
