Guest no_username_plz
Hi. I have few windows machines and Linux (mandrake 9.2) as file and print server. I wanna also use mailserver so we can send mails inside our LAN, (domain). How can I set up email accounts? I have a account (on thunderbird, windows computer) and I can log as name@linuxserver (name - username, linuxserver - machine name) , and chek for new email (POP3), using linuxserver for incoming mail. But I can not send mail using "linuxserver" as outgoing server "connecting to SMTP server linuxserver failed". Any ideas?

Guest anon
I think it is qmail. Mandrake installed that by default. I think so?!? Install webmin on the Linux box, get it from software manager, or from a consol:urpmi webmin Its a great tool (GUI) for administrating your server, everything from mail servers to DNS You can set and configure it all from webmin, you can also access webmin from any OS. Guest no_username_plz
I am using webmin now. Mail server is postfix, sorry. But there is no way to deliver mail. All messages I wanna send are in "Mail Queue 22 messages" When I try to create aliases i have this " Failed to save alias : Failed to regenerate table /var/lib/mailman/data/aliases: 256" What should I set here so useres can send and recive mail on my network? Gowator
Hi all, jleaman sorry its been a busy few days!!!! OK, were all missing something obvious .... Im going to RTFM on qmail since thats what I installed and the documentation is thourough if nothing else. Meanwhile, it a good idea if we do keep this thread and transfer all the stuff here.... Maybe in the end we can distill it into a tutorial :D
