Scott Thornley
Ok, so I've got Flash working under MozillaFirebird, but the audio is very choppy and high pitched sounding. Utterly unintelligible, and somewhat reminiscent of Alvin and the Chipmunks. MP3s, CDs, etc all work just fine in Totem, so it's not the sound drivers. Any ideas? Regards, Scott
Steve Scrimpshire
I'm running Firebird 0.7+ Could you point me to a particular Flash file that you have problems with and I'll see if I can reproduce the error and find a fix. I haven't tried any Flash with mine.
Scott Thornley
Everything misbehaves. Like: http://www.ubergeek.tv/switchlinux/ http://starterupsteve.servepics.com:60000/...f/chowmein.html I'm thinking it might be some sort of buffering issue. As the first couple tenths of a second sound ok. Ditto if I pause and restart. Scott
chris z
i went to the Flash links you provided (loved the cat song! :D ) & i have no sound problems in MDK using Opera, Moz, or Konq. went to the same sites here at work in Win2k using Moz & IE6.0..........still no sound problem. this is just a hunch on my part, but what kind of sound drivers are you using? are you using drivers specific to your sound card (IE: like an N-Force card using N-Force drivers)? if so, try using plain old ALSA or OSS sound drivers & see what happens. i have heard instances of certain manufacturer specific audio & video drivers having trouble with Flash. if it doesn't solve the sound problem, you could always just switch back to your original sound drivers.
