Steve Scrimpshire
I have Mozilla Firebird .7 running fine on my laptop with a trident blade video card with stock drivers, but cannot get any version of Firebird to run on my desktop which is using the nvidia drivers from NVidia (not the latest, but the previous release. I can't get the latest driver to work). I've tried starting it from the console, but see no errors. It opens up, but if I click on the address bar to type in a new location, it just hangs and I have to do a Ctrl-C in the console it is running from to kill it. Even clicking the X to close the window does no good. Both my laptop and desktop are running Fluxbox and both have XFree86-4.3.0. There is nothing in ~/.xsession-errors about it, either. I've upgraded Mozilla to 1.5 also, to see if that fixes it, but nope. Anyone else have problems like this? Any ideas? Edit: Don't think it is an NVidia problem. I've edited XF86Config-4 to use the nv driver and still have the same problem. I don't have any plugins linked to the new directory yet, either. sud_crow
Hi, I think is the same bug that bugged me :) Go to Tools > Options > Advanced > Accessibility and UN-CHECK the "find as you type" option... it seems it has some kind of problem and hangs the application... Steve Scrimpshire
Yea! That fixed it. I had tried (almost) everything. Thanks!
