I've installed xawtv rpms, trying to watch Tv using the ati tv wonder ve card in my box.. but it doesn't seem to be working. Here's the output from trying to run xawtv, then modprobing and dmesg the bttv module..

[root@localhost bin]# ./xawtv

This is xawtv-3.88, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.22-10mdk)

can't open /dev/v4l/video0: No such file or directory

v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway

v4l2: open /dev/v4l/video0: No such file or directory

v4l2: open /dev/v4l/video0: No such file or directory

v4l: open /dev/v4l/video0: No such file or directory

no video grabber device available

[root@localhost bin]# cd /etc

[root@localhost etc]# ./modules.conf

bash: ./modules.conf: Permission denied

[root@localhost etc]# su

[root@localhost etc]# ~/.xawtv

bash: /root/.xawtv: No such file or directory

[root@localhost etc]# modprobe bttv

/lib/modules/2.4.22-10mdk/kernel/drivers/media/video/bttv.o.gz: init_module: No such device

Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.

You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg

modprobe: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.22-10mdk/kernel/drivers/media/video/bttv.o.gz failed

modprobe: insmod bttv failed

dmesg | grep bttv

bttv: driver version 0.7.107 loaded

bttv: using 4 buffers with 2080k (8320k total) for capture

bttv: Host bridge is Silicon Integrated Systems [siS] SiS645 Host & Memory & AGP Controller

bttv: Bt8xx card found (0).

bttv0: Bt878 (rev 17) at 00:0b.0, irq: 0, latency: 0, mmio: 0xe3003000

bttv0: detected: ATI TV Wonder/VE [card=64], PCI subsystem ID is 1002:0003

bttv0: using: BT878(ATI TV-Wonder VE) [card=64,insmod option]

bttv0: IRQ 0 busy, change your PnP config in BIOS

Any ideas on what's up ? I configured the card with DrakXTV and everything seemed to go fine..

after messing with some config files.. i at least get tvtime to load, but it says ::

Your capture card driver: BT878(MIRO PCTV)

is taking too long to provide frames to tvtime. This could be due

either to a broken capture card, a signal that has become unstable

or very noisy, or a driver misconfiguration.

Please report this on our bugs page: http://tvtime.net/

videoinput: Can't wait for frame 2: Interrupted system call
