I have a strange setup 2 HDDs (both 80 Gb) 1 is a normal PATA HDD 1 is a SATA HDD because the speed (8Mb cache) on the SATA (2Mb cache on the PATA) i installed Linux and winblows both on the SATA. Mandrake 10.1 gets it right without any problem. Debian and Fedore screw up my partition (would not boot in Windows & Linux) with SATA it is important that you have a 2.6 kernel and ofcourse SATA drivers for your maniboard. Mandrake 10.0 won`t work (with my setup) Mandrake 10.1 will do it flawless

that works thnx... but i like my drivers anyway.. how do i know wich one to choose??? i need to be 100% sure because i am a newbie the script does`nt work

I have 2 pieces of hardware on my USB port that won`t work. 1. USB bluetooth device 2. USB IrdA device (model MA-620) i can see them when i open: System ===> Configuration ===> Hardware ===> USB view (see attachment) system ABIT NF7S (rev 2.0) (Nforce 2 chipset) AMD 2500+ Mandrake 10.1 (all updates applied) Standard kernel (so far as i know) i only post an image form the IRDA because the Bluetooth is verylong (4 images)

update: Mplayer works only in text mode but this works realy bad. 1. u have to type the files you want to play 2. video streams are not ok i see a few green stripes on top of my screen (flatpanel 1280x1024 in true color) 3. options are all in text either what i do not get is that the application Mplayer is not visible in the packets to uninstall ???
-
i realy would get this to work, maybe i miss some shit, because Mplayer does`nt work either. Kaffeine works but it hardly plays files i have been trying to get this to work like a week or so nothing works

it is very simple. uninstall GAIM (the old version) and download the RPM for mandrake 10. it includes glib 2.0 and will ask if it can install. it was the first i installed and i am a newbie this is good for my ego no offence dude
