I got the download version of 10.1, but the Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG drivers don't work. And due to me being almost zero experienced with Linux, I don't know how to install them myself. So I ordered the Powerpack DVD which hopefully should get here soon.
I was just wondering if the wireless drivers work out of the box correctly, also the nVidia graphics drivers. I've read lots of topics about this but I wanted to hear some more news about experiences.

Thanks - I like to think so. By the way that no sleep thing can really get too you eh?
Heck yeah. And then to make matters worse, just as I hit the on/off toggle switch on the ole coffee master, the power went out in the whole town. For three hours.

eh eh eh...you just quoted yourself!
Holy crap, I'm tired. My wife just had hip replacement surgery and I've spent alot of time at the hospital. Getting about 5 hours of sleep a night. Holy cow, I need coffee.
Anyway, I was referring to the guys Owl tattoo thing.

Okay, let us in on it. I gotta hear the details so I can learn how to do it myself, too.

I've got an Inspiron 8600 too. I just JUST ordered 10.1 Powerpack on DVD. But my laptop has the Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG setup. I'm hoping it works out of the box myself as I am a complete Linux newbie too. Here's to no problems! :D

Okay, I just got the DVD Powerpack in the mail. Right now I am using Ubuntu on my Inspiron laptop, wireless is working perfectly and the nVidia drivers took less than two minutes to download and install. Someone please reassure me that I won't have these problems using a purchased copy of Mandrake 10.1.
