Hi everybody!!
When I surfing on the web I don't want to see spams/ads. So I have a nearly 65,000 lines of ADS's and SPAM's domains in a file called HOSTS.
The format of this huge plain text file (1.6Mb) is:
127.0.0.1 ads.host.xxx
127.0.0.1 ...ads2.host.xxx...
127.0.0.1 any.ads.host
...
...
...
I set this file to /etc/hosts.deny but I still seeing annoying banners.
Otherwise, if I replace /etc/hosts with my huge black list :D it works ok! But if using Netscape it shows a message box saying the connection has failed to every ads/spam on the page I'm surfing.
Is my procedure wrong replacing the /etc/hosts.deny with my huge black list? Why it doesn't work (hosts.deny)?
Thanks a lot for any help!
