try making sure that everything under /home/user1/.kde/ is readable and writeable by yousu -c "chown -Rv user1 /home/user1/.kde/"
looks like /home/user1/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/bookmarks.xml either isn't there or isn't readable
i did follow the links and there is nothing there directly below is Mandrake Linux 9.2 for i586 and higher which has rpms. Some of those links may have ISOS. I found a mdk mirror w/ ISOs but not from that page apparently i can't post it here though even though it's on tha mirrors :roll:
they could always just install rc2 and upgrade with
urpmi --auto-select
that's what i just did (from the time of my last post till now). It would've been quicker but i was helping a freind w/ a lab :D
