  1. I finally created an iso image...but i get a write error saying not enough space to write...i made the iso file with the command "mklivecd mandrake.iso" without specifying any other options....if i specify those options mentioned in the FAQ section....will it work?

  2. I tried to create a Mandrake liveCD after reading abt it on the FAQ section...When I finally get down to giving the mklivecd command after installing everything mentioned in that post I get an error saying "module cloop.o not found"

     

    I use Mandrake 10.0 CE on the 2.6.3-4mdk kernel...can someone tell me how to fix this problem??

  3. When I try to install a newer version of a package i get a message saying "everything already installed" ...so if i remove the older versions using the package manager and then try to install the packages again...will it work??

     

    Even after successfully updating using urpmi i got the same error /lib/cpp fails sanity check message....

    and devries....i tried to do what u said and it just says that everything is already installed. I tried the following

  5. I have Mandrake 10.0 CE and whenever I try to install from the source .gz file i get and error when configuring using the ./configure command ... I get the following message

    What is sanity check?? I am confused...i tried to install the latest version of gcc preprocessor and i got an error saying version conflict...Can someone point out ways to rectify this??

  6. I found libplds4.so in mozilla package and in gaim1.0.1.tar.gz file too that i downloaded...Can I jus copy those files and paste it in the /lib directory? Also what does libplds4.so not satisfied mean?

  7. I downloaded Gaim 1.0.1 (rpm) and tried installing it...It returned an error saying libplds4.so not satisfied...Where can I find this file? Is it available on Mandrake install cd...I have cd1 and cd3 and my cd2 is corrupted. or should i dl from some website? can some1 put up a link where i can dl libplds4.so?

    I am not sure what the NETWORK refers to....does it mean the DNS?

    Cos my DNS is not listed in the file nor is my gateway.

  9. I did what u said arctic...but this is what i got...i get a 100% data loss when i am receiving data

    also the ifcfg-eth0 file had static option only

  10. I have this broadband internet connection that works in such a way that there is a direct connection to my ethernet card...I gave the ip address and DNS and gateway and subnet mask...but i cant get on to the internet when i use the broadband client given by my ISP...the same connection works very well in my Knoppix v3.6...Is there a separate n/w card config tool in mandrake like in linux? cos i cant figure out if mine is a dsl, or lan connection...or any other terminology..
