  1. thanks, that works great, but at reboot it changes back, is there any way to make it permanent?
  2. I have had this same problem, with Fedora core 2, which is why I switched to Mandrake 10.1 beta. Now I have mandrake 10.1 community and I'm faced with the problem again. My Joystick works fine under root, but nothing in other users. I do have a Logitech usb mouse that works fine for all users. Here are the specifics. Sidewinder Precision Pro Joystick USB Mandrake 10.1 community Athalon xp 2200 Unreal Tournament 2004.
  3. I just compiled this driver, and it apparently doen't work for the HSP pctel chipset modem. ERROR: no device detected by hsf driver
  4. I did try these with my HSP (PcTel 789 chipset) It reported that the driver found no modem. I figured that it was because the Linuxant drivers say that they are for HSF (softmodem). I guess I will try free version of the drivers again (I don't mind the 14.4 cap since I am going to use the modem for voice mail and fax.. I tried the generic and compiled it since it said to use the kernel specific rpm.
  5. I too wouild like to get my HSP 56 micromodem running. I'm using Mandrake 10.1. I have found several threads on this subject and all of them seem to point to this web site at one time or another http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/pctel-linux/ Does anyone know where these drivers may be found now? As this site is gone or down or something.
  6. Pctel 789 /hsp 56 micromodem I know this topic has been covered, I have searched it. Most of the links to driver pages or support (scanmodem ..etc) are broken. I tried the generic Linuxant HSF driver, it reported no modem detected by driver. Mandrake 10.1 kernel 2.6.8-0.rc2 in hardrake shows the modem as HSP MicroModem 56 with no module loaded.
  7. I figured I'd throw it on since other people may stumble on this thread to solve this probelm, even though it appears it's not waht's hailing you. Also for reference, here's a good help page on the Sound Blaster products under linux: http://alsa.opensrc.org/index.php?page=emu10k1 especially http://alsa.opensrc.org/index.php?page=SbLiveMixerControls <{POST_SNAPBACK}> wow thanks that was it, I didn't see that post. Thank you very much.
  8. Well I have a soundblaster live 5.1. and I did look at the teamspeak forum both before and after you reply, but I'm still stuck. I'm still searching. I will definately post the solution once I figure it out. Seems strange since it worked fine with 10.0.
  9. Yes I did see that in a nother post, and gave it a try. No dice. This is frustrating because teamspeak worked fine with 10.0 but I needed 10.1 to have my wireless card working. Now I have the wireless card but the mic doesn't work in teamspeak. I can hear myself through the speakers when the mic is unmuted, but can't get the green light showing an active mic in teamspeak.
  10. I have tried everything I know: google x 1000 , move every slider in kmix , aumix, alsa mixer , but there is no response in teamspeak rc2. the mic works , because I hear myself when it is unmuted. I'm stuck , not sure where to go now , besides another diistro and I don't wanna do that. :D
