  1. Whoops! Just remembered that in Ubuntu I had the same problem at the beginning. This is easily solved by loading the module sbp2: modprobe sbp2 Thanks anyway!
  2. Greetings everybody I have an external firewire HDD with two fat32 partitions which I used to have available as two normal removable devices in Fedora Core 6 and Ubuntu 7.04. Now, I installed Mandriva 2007.1 Spring and can't access this HDD's partitions.... I also have an USB stick that I can still access normally. Can somebody help or know what's the problem? Thanks!

  5. Hi Here I am again I just found the soulution: http://www.lafaspot.com/bluetooth_mouse_li...ouse_linux.html You just have to follow this simple instructions and change hcid.conf according to the example presented - just make changes related to the pin helper to reflect the code bellow: # PIN helper # pin_helper /bin/bluepin; pin_helper /usr/lib/kdebluetooth/kbluepin; Then add the following in /etc/X11/xorg.conf (not mencioned in the link above): Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Name of the device shown in hcitool -scan, without spaces" Driver "mouse" Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2" Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" Option "Buttons" "number of buttons for your mouse" Option "Emulate3Buttons" "false" EndSection Section "ServerLayout" InputDevice "Name of the device shown in hcitool -scan, without spaces" "SendCoreEvents" EndSection
  6. Hi Here's an update to the problem: The mouse is detected, I can see it in bluetooth:// The thing is, how do I put it to work?
  7. Hi there I have a laptop with an integrated bluetooth antenna and I bought an wireless bluetooth mouse for it. I have bluez and kbluetooth installed, but I haven't figured out yet how to make the mouse work. I'm using Mandrake 10.2 Can somebody help?

  9. I'm using Mandrake 10.2 with all packages up to date. The error message is simply "unload cpufreq modules -> FAILED"
  10. Ok, suppose I configure both firewalls in mcc, How do I know after if they are active for both network adapters? Thanks
  11. Hi I know I can disable as a service, but it is one that I actually find useful. I would prefer to know what is the problem to unload it. Thanks
  12. Greetings is it possible to have the mcc firaewall enabled for more than one network adapter (i.e. ethernet and wi-fi)? Thanks
  13. I always get this message when restarting or shutting down Mandriva. Why? I know they load properly because I have the modules listed in lsmod, but why can't they unload? Thanks
  14. Hi there! Your solution wasn't the right one but it gave me a clue. In that kmix panel I had to activate the external amplifier, not the headphone jack sense, and it did the trick. Thanks!
  15. Greetings I have an hp nx8220 with the ac'97 codec sound system and I use kde 3.3.2 in Mandriva 2005. My problem is that the sound hardware is detected but I can only hear through the headphones, I can't hear nothing from the laptop's speakers. Does anyone knows how to make the speakers work? Thanks
