  1. Thats it thats all. On my server I installed SSH, started it and in webmin I changed the port to something other then the standard one. Then opened and forwared that port back on the firewall and am happily wandering around on the server from work.

You may not be used to it working that easily but that's definatly how easy it should be.

  2. Ok! working too late at night. I checked My IP from dyndns account & it shows that ez-ipupdate sends server's IP, not Gateways. Some guys wrote before that they have no problems with DSL router & dyndns services. What clients you're using to get  router's external ip to be sended for dyndns?

I'm using no-ip.com on a server behind a firewall. The catch is that amongst other things it's a NAT box so it works IP or on name.

  3. Ok, thanks, but more.... I have already used dyndns services, but with direct connection to Internet. I wanted to know is there is problems with?:

    Internet---(dynip)ADSL-router(dhcp or static ip)-------Server

With ADSL-PCI in server card it's ok, but is there prob with in this case 4 port router?

Shouldn't be. I used to do it direct connected also, now Im behind a linux firewall and didn't have to make any changes to the firewall at all.

  4. Set up an account with one of the dynaminc IP companies, I use no-ip.com, create your hosts. Download the correct software to you computer and run the install, answering the questions that you are asked. And you're off to the races. Or at least it was that easy for me to set up no-ip.com

  5. Ok I'm stumped. I've been running pure-ftpd teaching myself how to set up a ftp server in linux, next project is a web server then a mail server. :) But as a whim I'd give proftpd a shot. I installed proftpd and webmin and followed Afrosheens excellent tutorial on setting it up. It worked like a charm except for one thing, I can't get the users chroot'd to the directory I want to lock them into.

They can cd into any directory they choose to which as you can imagine isn't a good thing, they can't do anything but look but that's not the point. I checked on proftps site in the faq and the context is correct according to thier information but it sitll won't lock the users in.

With the vague information I gave anyone have any suggestions on what to check? :?

  6. Well, I figured it out for myself. CLIC is a cluster set up. I assume only the MNF  ISO file is necessary for installation of the firewall system.

That's correct. I suggest getting the md5sum file also and checking the iso image. CD's aren't expensive but it could save you the hassle of making a coaster from a bad image.
