  1. Forgot to say that smart packaged by MDE already have all needed repositories, thats why so far i didnt add nothing in MDE website explaining how to add the MDE repos to smart :)
  2. In fact this is a more complicated problem, this is a urpmi problem that isnt able to recusivelly search inside sufolders that exist in RPMS folder. So i think the best option is to just start using smart and i will post in MDE webpage how to add the MDE repos to smart. Meanwhile run this as rooter to add MDE repo to smart: smart channel -y --add MDE type=urpmi baseurl=http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS hdlurl=hdlist.cz
  3. I have check the script and this is a bug from the package rpmtools done by mandriva that when generating hdlists files doesnt set anymore the recursive option, so doesnt search/add subfolders. So to workaround this untill this annoying bug can be fixed, i will move the kde rpms to the RPMS folder.
  4. Im sorry but sems to exist some problems with the file synthesis.hdlist.cz, so instead you could do: urpmi.addmedia MDE http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS with hdlist.cz but this will not install the kde rpms, so untill the script that generates hdlists files is fixed please download the kde rpms to you hd and then create a local media and install them from there.
  5. When i created the 2007.1 MDE repos i forgot to generate hdlists files, but that was already fixed some days ago, so you can go now and update your MDE repos.
  6. o didnt paid much attention to what was wrote, i didnt saw that you were complaining about compiling, but i still dont get why the hell are you trying to build any when you already have all software packaged and even worst when you dont have experience about it. I havent understand what you are trying to buld, why you are trying to building it when already told you how to run daemon avahi-daemon. You must take in consideration that if your going to build a recent avahi version you will also have to build all that depends on it, since avahi version build for 2006 is an old one, so you will have to rebuild all kde stuff and all that depends on avahi.
  7. First is build for mandriva 2007.1 that will be out officially in some days, then mandirva kde has errors and flaws, for example doesnt have an Home icon or to run konqueror as root and this kde is build with pch, its a faster kde.
  8. You should not change nothing in the script since all is as it should be, %{prefix} stands for /usr Have you correctly installed MDE packages? anyway to check if the service avahi-daemon is runing, run as root: service avahi-daemon status If the service isnt running (since this is a service that doesnt stay active by default), to start the service run as root: service avahi-daemon start but you can also run as root drakxservices to see all services status mandriva 2006 is an old version, you should upgrade to this new version 2007.1 that will be publicly out in some days.
  9. New kde-3.5.7 build for Mandriva 2007.1 (both arches available) available at the usual place :) http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS/ http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1_64/RPMS/ Installation instructions are also available respectivily for both arches: http://www.mde.djura.org/kde_install_2007_32.html http://www.mde.djura.org/kde_install_2007_64.html there is also IRC support in Freenode irc servers in channel #MDE. Have fun :) [moved from Software - arctic]
  10. Yes, it comes with 3.5.6 Because the kde we do in MDE has fixed errors, is faster (build with precompiled headers), and has options that mandriva kde.
  11. Im starting to build kde-3.5.6 for MDE/mandriva 2007.1 but i would like to include ksplash moodin but for that i dont have MDE images... So i ask if there is anyone interested in giving a hand to create some MDE images to intregate the new kde for MDE/Mandriva2007.1 kind regards,
  12. Please show in detail what were the conflicts.
  13. Since in MDE we put files in correct places (in oposition to the mandriva kde packagers), still happens this type of conflicts, so for just uninstall mandriva kdeutils and kdepim that im buinding a new releease of those with that fixed. Or you can wait that i release them publicly tomorrow, but is much more simple to just uninstall them, you should also take a look at the mde webpage kde install instructions in we advise to first remove mandriva kde before upgrading to kde MDE and there is explained howto do it.
  14. Just use the rpm management tools like for example smart or rpmdrake and select the kde suite packages. You have all the necessary info in www.mde.djura.org
  15. What type of 3D effects app are you using? Beryl or Compiz? Compiz is considered old compared with beryl, anyway i dont recommend the use of anynoe cause they still arent stable running in mandriva.
  16. Its not me who use to do the localization/internationalization rpms, its Thac that uses to do it, but ill ask him if he can do it, meanwhile you can use the i18n rpms from kde-3.5.5.
  17. New releases build with new libparted-1.8.1 gparted-0.3.3-2mde2007.0 and qtparted-0.4.5-6mde2007.0 available at the usual place Have fun partitioning :)
  18. Correct, the symlinks creation in done during %post and %pre install scripts, so users can choose.
  19. Take a good look to where the files are installed with adobe rpm, konqueror and mozilla cant locate it, now check what mde flashplayer rpm does.
  20. I have packaged FlashPlayer 9 final. available at the usual place -> www.mde.djura.org FlashPlayer-9.0.31.0-1mde2007.0.i586.rpm have fun
  21. There a new gimp version available at MDE -> gimp-2.3.12-1.mdv2007.0.mde Enter in www.mde.djura.org and see how to add the repository all other necessary info like adding kde-3.5.6 have fun
  22. kde-3.5.6 released for both arches x86 and x86_64 This is available at the usual place http://www.mde.djura.org You can directly access the rpms through: for 32 bits -> http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.0/RPMS/ for 64 bits -> http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.0_64/RPMS/ have fun :)
  23. I dont know to what hal issues are you refering, it did happened some problems regarding hal with kde-3.5.4 but they were also resolved in mandriva2006, and you must give details about what your refering else we will not be able to help.
  24. Seams your not reading with attention what i say, if you do urpmi or rpmdrake it will laos upgrade your restant packages and if you dont have kde mde installed is natural that requires it, take a look now to what smart packages requires: ~]$ rpmquery --requires smart-suite smart = 1:0.50-0.svn847.1.mde2007.0 smart-gui = 1:0.50-0.svn847.1.mde2007.0 smart-update = 1:0.50-0.svn847.1.mde2007.0 ksmarttray = 1:0.50-0.svn847.1.mde2007.0 rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) <= 4.0-1 rpmlib(CompressedFileNames) <= 3.0.4-1 ~]$ rpmquery --requires smart python >= 2.4 python < 2.5 python python-rpm usermode-consoleonly /bin/sh rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) <= 4.0-1 rpmlib(CompressedFileNames) <= 3.0.4-1 python-base >= 2.4 python-base libc.so.6()(64bit) libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.2.5)(64bit) libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3.4)(64bit) libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3)(64bit) libpthread.so.0()(64bit) Now as i said, smart-suite is a wrapper to install all smart rpms and that includes ksmarttray, and ksmarttray requires: libkdecore >= 30000000:3.5.5-1.mdv2007.0.mde ]$ rpmquery --requires ksmarttray|grep kde libkdecore >= 30000000:3.5.5-1.mdv2007.0.mde libkdecore.so.4()(64bit) libkdefx.so.4()(64bit) libkdeui.so.4()(64bit) So if you dont want the mde kde installed (wich i dont get since is the best kde out there) you can simply install the packages: smart smart-gui smart-update
  25. No, smart-suite is only a wrapper to install smart modules, doesnt requires anything else, and you are running urpmi, so what happens is that triggers the updates to be installed, that is a thing you must ask to mandriva developers. As you know we do recommend smart since sometimes urpmi or rpmdrake create inexistant problems, anyway to just install smart-suite run rpmdrake and choose it instead runing urpmi.
