  1. If you post a link to a video that does not work for you, I or someone else may be able to tell you what's needed to play it.

I think it helps to have the package codeina installed. I guess the PLF version is likely to be best.

well I have the plf version, and I stopped working w/ firefox and started using epiphany, the flash player runs smooth and it also runs really good on CentOS [Virtualbox]...it has firefox 3.0.x instead of 3.6x, I installed the plugin and it's working fine, what I'll do is downgrade firefox or use either centos or epiphany in linux... but thx anyway

  2. Have you tried download-flash-player-plugin or anything else I suggested above? What was the result?

yes I did, I also downloaded faad2, libfaad2, gstreamer01-faad (something like that), helped a little because now the video starts when it wants what I mean is not every video opens, sometimes when I want to watch a video it won't open at all, but other videos will... ;)

  3. /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins are plugins installed system-wide.

/home/username/.mozilla/plugins are those installed just for specific user in addition to those already seen system-wide.

Hey  , I tried using the solution explained here, I even tried using the lib on both folders, but flash still not working... :wall: any other idea of what could be wrong?, also I restarted firefox

  4. Thanks, YinYeti! And thanks, demonseth17 too! As with tux99, if you want your name or your nickname listed in the credits, just tell me what you prefer.

I understand what you say about the foreign words, it's difficult. Especially specific words like "track", "waypoint", and such words. Some translators have translated those terms, some have kept the English words, I leave it up to them. Also computer terms like the path to a program - is it a camino, a ruta, or a dirercción? Probably none of those things, I don't know!

I made some corrections and some additions to the Spanish - could you check them please?

As for Russian, of course I'm very open to any offers. Obviously native-speaker help is best, but if you "know some" then it could at least get it started and maybe someone else would help to take it further. I can easily create a Russian page if you like?

well you could use either "ruta" or "direccion" depending on the way you want to say it but those 2 are the most common translations "camino" sounds like an old road in spanish :D, but and for the russian page I could could get Ian which is one of the members and an old friend of mine and also classmate I have in my college whose russian too, B) I could borrow some of his russian knowledge, also I got a dictionary but I would prefer to ask ask them before so I would let them know to see if they're willing to help

  5. hey neddie,

there's my part..now you'll see the spanish section is almost complete, the sentences and words I left behind...I don't think there's an exact translation also the words I marked with "" because it'll sound like another think if I translate it to spanish directly it would be like translating names or something like that, tell me if there's something else missing and btw nice application, that's really cool.

  6. That happened to me too, and I think there was some things that were not updated after that, I remembered when I had to type urpmi --auto-update so it will update the repositories and then update the applications again because some important applications were not letting me access the mandy desktop.

So my advice, make sure your database is up-to-date first

  7. rep +1 .. that's an awesome idea

haha....I would like to be the first downloading it haha

    :evilmod:

but seriously guys this is insane :screwy::screwy: ...and the facebook-linux thing is also insane damn how can they do this to us?    they should :hanged: themselfs :jester:

  8. I was reading on this yesterday and found some info - America can be used in reference as a continent and as a country.

that's a bad thing cuz a country is not equal a continent...also imagine if people just use that reference, what happens with central, south and the other part of north America...

  9. What I did ...

    1. check if the HAL daemon is running, if not as root

    #hald

2.if it is running but not responding first check using top in the terminal, if a process (usually hald services or hald itself) is eating more than 80% kill it and run it again...

I know somebody has a better solution to that but in my case I had to solve it fast so I had to do that (I know that killing it is not the solution) but it can help you while some master comes with the answer

  10. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my stupid question. I uninstalled draksnapshot and everything is working great.

Is it necessary to install something else which would do the job draksnapshot did or would it be okay if i just leave it as is?

    Thanks Scarecrow

    CB

well draksnapshot just takes screenshots or something like that in a determinated frecuency so unless you need those then you should worry about if not then leave it as you and me did (uninstalled)... ;)

  11. Give first the output of

    uname -a

    and then of

    lsmod | grep snd

My guess it's either a pc speaker module loading and conflicting with the alsa modules, or that crap pulseaudio server is acting again...

I think it is pulse audio again cuz, if been checking if everything was loaded, then try to test it and then the window got grey (like it is not responding)...and never did the test. the amarok, exaile, flash-browser-plugin start to run the file mp3(exaile, amarok), video (flash) but there's no audio, I'm not sure but I think it is pulse  maybe you can tell me..thx in advance

  12. Give first the output of

    uname -a

    and then of

    lsmod | grep snd

My guess it's either a pc speaker module loading and conflicting with the alsa modules, or that crap pulseaudio server is acting again...

yes I've been using the lsmod | grep snd command to see if my sound modules were loaded and they were (comparing with lspcidrake -v | fgrep -i AUDIO)...here's the output
