  1. I'm trying to add some URPMI sources.

so I do urpmi.removemedia -a to erase the old (Installation CDs)

then I do the easy urpmi config, one line at a time. The first time all went well, but each time I wanted to do an urpmi, it gave me an error saying that it was outdated. so I redo a

urpmi.remove media -a, then reinstall...i did it like 10 times and each time it gave me that the contrib was outdated, or something like that. I tried many servers, nothing..I'm trying again, but I doubt it will be different than the others...someone can help me?

  2. from what I understood of the google translation (eeck), they will be solwly changing their computers towards open softwares. For the moment they will be testing it with some minors services (internal email, etc...) and they will keep to add services until all is converted. But they hold nothing against Microsoft, in fact they have high esteem of them. It's just a "political choice" :P

  3. I thought about checking manually for versions of my softs, but not autoconf :S thanks for the tip! I had to do a fresh install so for now I'll stay with 3.1...unless someone makes a nice rpm that does the trick ust fine :P
