Do you use KDE? Open KFM and right click the .wav, choose "Properties", and under the Meta Info tab the Length, Sample Size, Sample Rate, and Channels will be listed.

I think the Turbo Print drivers support the s520.
http://www.turboprint.de and look for the supported printers link.

This is for 8.1, but should work for 8.2 It provides libpng.so.2
http://rpmfind.net//linux/RPM/mandrake/upd....2mdk.i586.html
I used kshowmail in Mandrake 8.2 with no problems. Also, the kshowmail I pointed you to is v2.2.3, which is the version I used in MDK 8.2, not v2.0
http://unc.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/...il-2.2.3.tar.gz
If you can't or don't want to compile, the rpm on your 8.2 CD should work fine after you install libpng2.

create the directory /mnt/floppy
use this in fstab:
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto user,iocharset=iso8859-1,umask=0,sync,exec,codepage=850,noauto 0 0
That should work.

SaveMyModem 0.99
* portable (it runs natively on Linux and Windows)
* complex rules with logic operators (and,or,...)
* extended regular expressions match
* rules can use the message size (beware of large executable files)
* black list check for spammers
* interactive mode (to test and improve your rules)
* batch mode (if you trust your rules)
* UIDL database (if you use the "keep messages on server" pop3 feature)
* APOP (secure pop3 authentication)
* plugin architecture(other mail filters/mail protocols can be easily added)
* high configurable bandwidth usage (you can choose how many lines/bytes you want to download and check of each message)
* bounce message(simulate your mailbox is unavailable)
* multithreaded download(avoids slow DNS / pop3 servers)
I just found this a few days ago and am very impressed.

No kshowmail won't bounce messages. Kmail will.

Mandrake has posted updates to rpmdrake and urpmi. Have you installed the updated packages?
-
I use kshowmail. It grabs and displays the headers, then I can delete unwanted mail from the server without downloading.

I remember with MDK 8.2 you had to edit /etc/modules.conf and add this line:
alias mouse usbmouse

Thank you MottS! Looks great.

Anybody?

Thanks for the reply. It didn't work. I'm still getting a dump with the same information.

I use KDE when I boot to GUI and have been playing with the graphical GDM as display manager because of the themes. Every time I login using GDM something related to the soundserver crashes and gives me a 796MB core dump. I've poked around in some of the config files and nothing jumps out at me. I know little of Gnome and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Here's the first part of the dump file:
ELF
!
stereoeffect list - list available effects
suspend - suspend sound server
status - display sound server status information
terminate - terminate sound server
autosuspend - set autosuspend time
networkbuffers - increase network buffers by a factor of
volume [] - display/set the volume of the soundserver
stereoeffect insert [top|bottom] - insert stereo effect
stereoefect remove - remove stereo effect
stereoeffect list - list available effects
version - show sound server version
help, ? - show commands
Hopefully someone knows a fix for this.
Thanks,
Germ

Yes Mozilla supports Java. Thsi page tells about Java and other plugins with Mozilla.

xserver tries the listed resolutions in order and stops at the first one it can use. You can use keyboard combos to see what resolutions you can do. Ctrl-Alt- "+" key cycles through the resolutions low to high, and Ctrl-Alt- "-" key cycles through from high to low.
You should be able to set the res in control center. Are you logging in as root? If you tell it to "Ignore" when prompted for the root password, any changes you make will not be written to the config file.

http://scan.sygatetech.com/ does a lot more in-depth scanning than grc.com

I can't get there, either. bummer.

I would definitely recommend Guarddog. I tried Shorewall, Firestarter, and a few others, but I'm sticking with Guarddog.

If you are using the standard kernel supplied with MDK 9.1, do this as root:
/germ
