  1. well done :D some here too, and some for duel and triple monitors http://www.pixelgirlpresents.com/desktops.php
  2. Thanks for this, :D the rpm installed with no problem.
  3. thanks for the fast reply- well that would be a big help, although i only know of commercial upload sites like yousendit.com as i have no site of my own. The C preprocessor is installed and i have looked at the config file but can't see what the root of the error is, i suspect it's something that needs to be installed.
  4. This is the error! any help? thanks, just like in ms windows. i'll take a look in to this Audacious, the only reason i like Xmms is because of a skin to match my window style and theme http://www.kde-look.org/CONTENT/content-pre2/67013-2.jpg

When i click on an mp3 file it is opened by Kaffeine, so how can i make Xmms open these files by clicking on them without having to open Xmms and then search for mp3's manually? thanks for the time
  7. here we are :D fresh install, i will post in "rate my desktop" l8tr when i go to wotk on it/
  8. English I guess it's best to install windows first then to save on time doing unnecessary work.
  9. i'll have a look into the MCNL, as ive used Mandriva one before some time ago.
  10. Haha i'm making it more complicated for you with each post, unintentionally of course. i understand now what duel booting is, i have 80gb to work with so seeing as internet browsing is the main reason for switching on the pc it shoul'nt be any trouble, unlike storing big files and so on.
  11. Sorry if my post was a little confusing, if it makes more sense i was asking you if windows would install over a disk with a linux distro on and not see it as a corrupt or unreadable disk, thanks for the suggestions about duel booting and so on, i do have a little experience with linux when fully installing Mamdriva LM when it first came out and was happy with the distro. Never liked the sound of duel booting or an operating system "within" another. Is it possible to duel boot with both operating system from each other?
  12. :) I have a WinXP install bootable cd And ask you if i installed a Linux OS over my current installation would the WinXP cd install over the Linux install? [moved from Everything Linux to Installing Mandriva - tyme]
