I swaped my Iomega ZIP100 internal reader to my new PC AMD Athlon 2200 XP. This reader was automatically mounted by MDK9.1 on my Gateway PC but now I cannot see its icon when I open the file :/mnt folder How can I fix this ? I could not find out the exact command to split the file "leabook-20030811-1mdk" in order to transfer it to another PC via floppies. This file is 3.2 Mb and I cannot understand the split help on the bash console I typed "split -b 1400 leabook-20030811-1mdk" in the file repertory but the answer was "produire les suffixes des fichiers épuisés" other question : can I put a star (*) to shorten the file name ? I think the quickest thing is to go back to WIN$ and format it without any problems as it was done before

Thanks for your help but apparently this floppy formatter is not designed for anything else than floppy I couldn't see any way to use it with my Iomega ZIP

yes my ZIP is mounted on the desktop and the right clic provides "open with""copy" send to bootmarks, modify this type of file, zip this file, create date CD, unmount but with the supervisor permission nothing to format it thanks

my question is : How do I just format my /mnt/zip directory ? is it by console or under the desktop ? I cannot see any command from the Mandrake control center Bash does'nt understand any "format" command thanks

when I change the floppy disk I need 20 to 50 seconds (according to the floppy inserted) before I have access to the files How can I make it faster ? I am using MDK 9.1

the problem now is : after installing the addons which are supposed to complete the facilities how to make them work and particularlly the "save a complete Web page" (with pictures)

yes I can as in the file menu but it saves the web page minus the pictures so not the complete page

what do you mean the links will not work once the page is saved you cannot get it back on the screen ?

I found the package "kdeaddons" in order to enable Konqueror to register a complete web page but after the installation I cannot find the command "Achive a complete web page" in the tools menu as was mentionned in this thread what shall I do now ? thanks for your advice jeanrev

hi, Richard, on my Konq fendh version 3.1.0 there is no "tools/archive web page the archive is from the file menu the question is can Konqueror save a complete Web page with pictures ?

I noticed to-day that I have the same problem : a delay when I open for the first time a floppy disk after setup of the computer then the fault disappears and the following openings are OK strange not ?
