but when i burn it with K3B to make a VCD the error is

"Only MPEG1 and MPEG2 video files are supported"

actually, in windows i burn it with nero

i can't burn .dat file into VCD in K3B

?how can i burn VCD with .dat file

i'm using Mandriva Spring and my DSL doesn't connect automatically.

after i turn on my linux i need to do this in order to connect and sometime it doesn't work

right click at taskbar>>setting>>watched interface>>ppp0>>disconnect>>connect

when i firstly set up in contro, i set it to start automatically but the ip shows as eth0 not ppp0 i need to to the step to get it work.

how can i start the connection auto

ok guys, i got it in Mandriva Spring.

it seem the problem is fixed but not perfectly.

All you have to do is Click "Import Windows Fonts" in control center

but for my fonts Angsana New it's error: it has only Italic and Bold style, so I copy it directly from Windows and "Import each by each":Italic, Bold and Normal. finally, i can use Angsana New both in firefox and openoffice.

i'm Googling and hope to find any fix. actually, there is a Thai linux(opentle) base on ubuntu which perfectly works fine in Thai fonts. i try to ask them on the board but no one can answer me.

anyway i'm downloading 2007.1 and i hope it will fix these.

in addition i don't know that the problems are caused by openoffice or Mandriva imported fonts system because openoffice on my Windows is working correctly.

i have a problem with openoffice

i'm a Thai user and i can make thai fonts in openoffice but i need to do a homework which requires Angsana New font (windows). threfore, i import fonts from windows and yet, all Thai fonts appear as box.

to clarify, onced i've got Tahoma font work in openoffice and it still ok after import fonts from windows but Angsana New and all thai fonts imported from windows don't work.

hi i come to give the "exact way" to get Thai works in Mandriva 2007 for anyone who may want to

1st by using URMPI, try to search "Thai", then u'll get "ttf-thai" plug in. Install it

2nd open therminal and then write this "rpm -vi ftp://ftp.pbone.net/mirror/www.haoli.org/...oarch.rpm"

it will take a while, so write this "fc-cache -f -v"

3rd if you still have problems with Thai fonts, try to install firefox extension search "thai word separater"

finally, done

ps. i didn't import fonts from Windows partition because it's not work and after i imported fonts from Windows, my Openoffice couldn't type in Thai anymore: it appears as box

hi guys, i'm a Thai user. i have a problem about using Thai fonts on openoffice

some say that i need to import Thai fonts to Fonts directory in order to be appeared on openoffice. but the problem is i don't know where's the fonts directory

moreover, there is Opentle(a Thai linux based on Ubuntu) which completely works with Thai both on office and web browser(Iceweasel). i just wonder if how can i get the web browser named Iceweal which's perfectly Thai.

furthermore, i've heard that we can use windows app on mandriva using Wine or else. i need to listed to radio online which need windows media player. i try to install mplayer(linux) but it's very difficult for me to compile sourse, actually, i've used mandrive for a month, none of software that i successful istall (i always have many err). i also hope that there would be much more app in the package manager as Ubuntu (i think it has so many downloaded app)

i try to share ntfs by using NFS mount point and other in Mount section but

it shows "the package nfs-utils-client need to be installed" so i click OK, then it says cou;dn't install the package.

in short i install windows xp and mandriva in the same HD. i can't get sahre hda1(windows partition) on linux

otherwise, i have to used ubuntu and it automatically mounts to windows partition. i'm a newbie of mandry and it's quite different. indeed i prefer mandry to ubuntu. thx man
