I just went and grabbed a regular analog mouse from the lab and plugged that into the kvm. now i have functionality back. I'm just gonna stay with this and put the wireless setup on my servers kvm. that'll be better anyways.

still having the prolem. its pissing me off now, since its in every program now that I have the problem.

urpmi --noclean that will leave the rpms in /var/cache/urpmi/rpms after you install them.

payed 60 bucks to mandrake and joined the mandrake club. I have been meaning to do so, since I have downloaded a bunch of ISO's and decided to help pay the electricity bill over there. Any other members here?

its simply that linux is not as much of a blatant target for malicious hackers. Thats my take anyways.

its an optical/wireless. and even better, attached to a KVM. I'll spare you what happens when I switch from BeOS/Windows/OSX to linux. anyways. I went to mcc and changed to a standard 3 button mouse, and it seems ok for now, but I always lose it at random.

no i avoid supermount like the plague!!! i did however point the plugin to /mnt/cdrom

all you have to do is click >add< , select "dir" and point it to /mnt/cdrom. at least thats all I had to do.

I have no idea how to explain this properly, but my mouse keeps losing its "scroll up" functionality on the wheel. scroll down works perfectly.

after that, open up aumix and make sure that the cd volume is turned up. default is off. I just followed you're instructions and did this, and now it works.

going to a lug meeting in this area decreases you're chances of ever getting laid again by 22%. I just stick around here.

I use superkaramba. love it. it may just be eyecandy, but some of the news apps, and calender programs are really useful. plus having an OSX bar in fluxbox is just the sh!t.
