Ok people can you tell me what happening here "some requested packages cannot be installed: ati8.28.8.1.20060plf.i586 (due to unsatisfied dkms-ati[==8.28.8])" thx voyage

Thx people i will try what you's suggested and i will let you know what happens again thx voyage One other thing i tried was using gnome as my startup and for some reason the text and screens are just 200% better than under KDE. Don't know why but not complaining Voyage

Hello All Well i think i have tried everything to get this blo**y ati card (x800) to work, but it still refuses to give me 3d so in the best tradition possible i am going to BIN it. Hello all Well another noob question ..... I want to in stall the new ati drivers ..... when i d/l it saves file to desktop... it's a run file. 1. how do i run this file 2. should i put it into a certian directory if so how? 3. then what sorry to be a pain everything else on my system run superb except the graphics voyage [moved from Software - arctic]

Hello All Well got mandriva on both home comps everthing working ok :D (except my ati card but it,s livable till i get more knowledge on linux) both connect to router and internet working okay. hi all just installed and everything seemed okay but when it boots up get the blue mandriva screen then it goes to a black screen and asks me to login in user name and password but it takes me to root any help please. voyage
