Hi there, someone could aid men, as you see Im trying to get a hd to work, its in ext3 fs, diskdrake see the disk asign device and made the right allocation of the partitions but when tryng to mount in diskdrake its says: cant mount /dev/hdb1 on to xxxxx, and when at hand it says cant mount the fs due an misunderstaing of fs or bad superblock , trying dmesg | tail says EXT3 FS, cant mount device due unsupported options (80008000). And when trying to use fsck, e2fsck fsck.ext2 and fsck.ext3 it says cant read or open the superblock its probably corrupt but trying to use another block with the -b option and nothing happens. This disk its alredy dead? if not how can I make it readable? Thanks

Hi again! I was wondering if someone can aid me to speed up my drive, i kust buy a ide to usb conector but my hd has a very poor performance, and I want to know if can speed up or tweak like the ide drive with hdparm , mandriva 2007 says im using a sata_sil chipset and from the bios I cant change nothing. By the way, someone knows where or how can I flash my bios , im using a toshiba l35 (seems to be a L30 but the designation its for latinamerica) and the phoenix bios its quite inaffordable and lowly configurable. Hi there folks, hope someone give me a hint to work with it. I have an ide to usb adapter and was working fine with me on mdk 2006 but I just upgraded to 2007 and then the acces time and the read/write times are large, i mean give me a bug latency, at the point which the disk becomes unreadable, th disks isnt the problem since I chek it on another machine and works fine, but what could be this? When installing 2007 I set up a usb printer without connecting it, this could be a problem? Im using a Toshiba L35 laptop, my bios settings seems to be fine. Thanks in advance. Alex

Hi there .Im with a new bug here. Hope someone can give me a hint.. well I buy a new Laptop a Toshiba L-35 based on a ATI radeon 200x , well the point its I have no sund, the chipset its a realtek al861 audio system but the lnux recognizes it as an azalia hd driver, whatever its an intel hd driver but its doesnt work, I ve read thart the alsa before 0.9 dont work and try with each and every version and subversion after this but dont work, the best I get its a small sound like playing out in the mic line out (?) by the system the sound card its properly installed but it doesn play a sound at all. when installing from the dvd (using the driver of the release) it send me and error at starting the sound and alsa service something like "unrecognized symbol in /.../.../*.ko.gz" Im using the mandriva 2006 powerpack dvd. Sometimes only show me as output device the mic. Im sure unmuted all the devices. Thanks in advance to all. I dont want to use w*****s please help me!!!! Thanks again
