Sneaky! :P Didn't see this in the Help section FAQ - maybe worth adding under the 'posting' or 'topics' heading?
We didn't want it to be too obvious, so it's hidden in Forum Discussion. :P
I've now included the instruction in the Practical Posting Guidelines.
I'll speak to the other mods about updating the Help facility as there are other things wrong with it. :)
-
If a mod wants to mark this thread solved, that's fine by me - I can't see any way to edit the title as a regular punter.
You just edit the first post in the thread. ;)

ok.. but where could i find knoppix ??
www.knopper.net. :)

Thanks, Dyslexic. That is hideous...

Thanks for reporting back - and welcome to the board. :)

All right. This probably isn't the absolute correct forum to post this in, but I thought the problem I'm having extended past just security related issues.
Security is the right forum for this: Everything Linux is for news items and general Linux discussions.
Welcome to the board. :)

There are details of Mandrakeclub benefits at www.mandrakelinux.com/en/club. Follow the FAQ link for more details. :)

I wanted to add that I also need to know any tutorial kinda websites to learn where the linux applications are stored, like the basic file structures, and etc. Thanks.
If you installed documentation, go to More Applications - Documentation - Mandrakelinux documentation in English, and select the Command Line Manual.
If it's not installed, you can find it at www.mandrakelinux.com/en/fdoc.php3. :)

P.S.: can you or Ix open the political thread for me ?
roland - please send a pm to Ixthusdan. :)

Don't leave the rest of us in suspense - what happened?

I think you may need ispell-fi, which you can get at rpm.pbone.net. According to this Debian listing, it includes openoffice.org-spellcheck-fi.
Hope this helps. :)

erm that's 8.2!
Mandrake secuity changed significantly in 10.1 .... to the point of being unworkable for me.
The club knowledge-base article that pmpatrick refers to, links to the 8.2 documentation - that's how I found it. So it may be out-of-date but it's probably the most up-to-date available...
-
Try www.linux-mandrake.com/en/doc/82/en/ref.html/prog-msec.html instead.
Club membership is not free. You can find details at www.mandrakelinux.com/en/club/. :)

I don't use it, but perhaps there's a configuration option in Kaffeine where you 'install' the plugin?
-
According to the Kaffeine website, you need to download the latest win32 codecpack from www.mplayerhq.hu and install it in /usr/lib/win32.
Don't be put off by the 'Closed for patent infringement' message on the first page.
Oh, and welcome to the board. :)

Spiny, did you give it a shot??
You know I'm strictly a non-geek.

Several posts have been removed from this thread at the request of the originator.
This was a tidying-up exercise, and should not spoil your enjoyment of the topic. :)

I'd also like to know where I can get camera drivers for my Sony Cybershot digital camera. I'm using Mandrake 10.1with KDE.
Please raise this as a separate topic in Hardware, where it'll get more attention. :)
-
how can I add the [solved] tag to the thread?
Just edit your first post. :)
-
Just to reiterate since this was moved to the hardware area, all the hardware is just fine.
You're having a problem getting your fax to work in Linux, so it belongs here. :)

This linuxathome.com item may help you.

Can help with translation English <-> French, please add me in the list. Tkxs
