  1. 2 scarecrow Thanks, I managed to log in again :) I went to XFdrake to verify if my nvidia settings OK. When pressed OK I got this " Sorry, the following package(s) can't be installed: dkms-nvidia-8762-5.1.20060plf.i586 (due to missing nvidia-8762-5.1.20060plf.i586) nvidia-8762-5.1.20060plf.i586 (due to unsatisfied drakxtools-backend[>= 10.3-0.64.5.20060mdk]) " They are in the pack but I cannot install them Thanks
  2. I have noticed that all this begins after amule's crash. If I don't run amule , there are no disconnections :)
  3. 2 scarecrow I think I tried it too... But my main problem is that I cannot log-in to my system...(see my last post) I reconsider reinstall mandriva and lose month work :( Is there any chance to fix it?
  4. At last some graphics :) I get this window (first time) "wellcome to mandriva PASHA(nick) " +clock in the middle . In the left a list of commands and user +pass. When I enter my user name the window blinks and returns the same window... very strange :) When I try to boot into linux-nonfb I get the same window....
  5. 2 Ian I installed all the packs. No one asked for alsa :) Gonna reboot and see :)
  6. 2 Ian The second command gave me the list Still no way to copy/paste Should I install old alsa packs if I installed the new ones? :)))) Thanks
  7. 2 Ian It's really stupid but I can't copy/paste.. nor ctrl v/c nor ctrl/shift insert... I installed kdebase, so now I have kwrite.. :) This from 2/8 :) Thanks
  8. 2 Ian As I wrote in the first post, I don't know which pack I removed :) but it must be one of these When I tried to remove the libalsa2 and I saw the 400 MB dependance, I decided that something is wrong and I stopped :) Can you show me the packages of other alsa's plz :) Is there command that will install all the missing ones? Thnaks
  9. 2 Ian Thanks for your help.. The only today's entry (4/8) is I didn't find any uninstalled stuff there... And I tried xedit as root too :)
  10. 2 Ian I forgot to mention that when rebooted(the first time) I got a blue screen with a mouse's X for long time, so I rebooted the PC manually ! The only editor I have is xedit and it opens an empty file. I uninstalled with "urpme" Thanks
  11. Hi to all. During the ALSA update (https://mandrivausers.org/index.php?showtopic=32806&st=0&gopid=251390entry251390 ) I decided to unisntall alsa package (don't remember which one :) ) and it removed with it too many packages (including KDE something) . After that I noticed that "configure your desktop" has disappeared. Now when I boot into Linux, I get nonfb . Please help Thanks

Shall I remove the old packages or install above? When I tried to remove libalsa2 it suggested to remove ~400 MB packages.. :)
