After I install Mandriva 2006 rc2 with Vmware beta It hangs at the progress screen. Any ideas besides telling me not to use betas? [moved from Emulation by spinynorman]

Okay thanks, so things like Acrobat reader are not on the free version. Same kernel and same aount of window themes Ie: kde, Gnome, fvvm2, twm.

I just got approval from Vmware to download a full working copy of Vmware 5.5. I tried before to apply for it but you needed a previous version reg to get it. Now you only have to sign up and you get a free full version. Details signup for Beta Manual: 5.5 User Manual Details:

I just got my beta version of Vmware 5.5 and I noticed they made lots of changes to make it better. I plan on installing in 2006 rc1. Does anyone know any known issues or suprizes with it?

I noticed that 8 members had viewed my post and none had responded. So I started to download RC!. I also am going to try the 10.1 powerpack. I imagine they are all qiute similar, except for RC1 having KDE 3.42 Which I hear is 50 percent faster than 3.3.
