im following your guide on installing software but keep getting the same error. im trying to install GEAR pro dvd master but when i get to ./ configure it says bash .......... is a directory please help

although i can get into my xp box from mandriva le 2005 with no problems i cant get into mandriva from my xp box,,,, there on the same network through a router and its all working well, but cant sort out this problem

ive just got an old epson stylus 640 which is connected via the parralel port, although it prints i cant understand why it only prints small pages. i mean the pdf file i want to print is a4 size, it printed it about a quater of the a4 paper. i cant see how to change the set up paper as it says it set for a4

ive 2 pcs, the main pc runs xp pro and my linux box. the xp box is the one connected to the internet modem via usb and the feeds a switch via ethernet card. my linux box is in my workshop and connected to the switch via ethernet. i can ping my xp from linux but cant ping linux from xp??? and my internet on linux doesnt work can anyone help me out here

hiya. im trying to get my WINTV card working on L.E 2005 im followering the guide VIDEO RECORDING in faqs and downloaded freevo-1.5.0.tar.tar ive unpacked it and moved the folder to /user/local but when it comes to ./configure i get no such directory can someone tell me where ive gone wrong

yeh got cd for internet modem? had to type in the settings i:e pop.ntlworld.com smtp.ntlworld.com and my pin number

yeh i set up my identity and an account? but it asked for email address which i typed in then asks reply to???? what do i type in there also whats bcc address then in set up for sending and recieving messages it asks for name port host this is where im stuck

still no install???says unable to install all im trying to do is set up so i can use email

i just tried ./thunderbird and received the followering message ./thunderbird-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannotopen shared object file: No such file or directory

ive been trying to install thunderbird and followed the faqs on the home page.everything went well until it came to ./configure.....then i got "no such file or directory." it was a tar gz which i extracted and cd to file and then i got the error [moved from Software by spinynorman]

ive been tyring to set up my email through KMAIL? i was talking to someone and was told to get thunderbird? ive never heard of thunder bird and tried getting it from a wesite but it gets to 86% then stalls please help me

ive tried setting up my email on mandriva 2005 l.e. but when i try to send mail it says i gotta set up an account. its a networked pc with my kids xp box as the main pc. ive got outlook express on xp with smtp and pop3, but cant get mandriva to work with email............ any help for a nubee appreciated
