ok you've lost me? in office publisher on windows if you open word art, you got a box showing all different coloured and animated text, then you just type in what you want displayed then publisher/wordart does the rest

ive downloaded a few themes from freshmeat, but being new to linux 9mandriva 2006 free edition) im unsure what to do with them, ive extracted the files but cant see where to put them

when i used to use windows xp pro i used word art in office publisher to do all my headings in fancy writing...is there a word art for open office or some type of equivalent

im trying to set up my mustek ub1200plus scanner, when i try it says that my model is not compatable and i need drivers.ive been to the companys website but cant find any drivers for linux

ok thanx i tried /sbin/limewire and tried /user/bin/limewire both wouldn't open it i just tried frostwire and get the following error,, hope it makes sense to someone could not run the specified command

ok il give it a go failing that is there a torrent downloader i could use

i just installed java and its still the same, i dont get an error when i use run command it just goes back to desktop

i used urpmi, it installed java and others,alltogether they were 8 files it installed but il try installing java again

ive just used easy urpmi to install limewire. everything was fine ,but cant seem to run it? i opened run command and tpyed in limewire but nothing happens plz help

im trying to set up my tv card on mandriva 2006 (free edition) ive got it tuned in to receive the stations etc but the picture is in black and white????? ive checked the settings (as far as i can see there right) but can't seem to get colour?????????????????????? its a win tv tv tuner card set up as BT878 and ive tried kdetv and xawtv and both the same outcome?????

thanx again, just tried urpmi etc etc if i set it up rite ( i dont konw) but it ran through the loading screens then i typed in urpmi inkscape but got the following error [root@localhost john]# urpmi inkscape no package named inkscape [root@localhost john]#

thanx m8, where i am i know no-one using linux, and im finding it a bit hard getting used to things

ive downloaded inkscape rpm but when it comes to installing it, it says it cant as devil is needed???

im trying to install nvu-1.0 which i downloaded as a tar.bz2 file although im following your software install guide i get an error?? everything is ok untill i get to ./configure this is what i get john@localhost nvu-1.0]$ ./configure bash: ./configure: No such file or directory anyone offer any help please as ive finally done with windows
