Maybe it hides buddies who are not connected?

That means that urpmi can't find the package name you entered.
Try to type in a full package name.
Have you added repository mirrors to urpmi earlier?
What does
urpmq --list-media
returns?
Most probably that you haven't configured your urpmi mirror list, because i can install xchm on my pc. Go to EasyUrpmi page to add your repo mirrors.
Read http://wiki.mandriva.com/en/Tools/urpmi to learn more about urpmi usage.

It works now, thanks.

You must be a root to use urpmi. Type:
su your-root-password urpmi xchm

How do i get this rpm? Should i add testing mirrors to urpmi or is there another way?

When this happens The only thing so far to fix it was rebooting the system, so obviosly it is not a good thing to do. Maybe I'll just install the original FF from mozilla and stop using mandriva's?

I've found a couple of things that I can't find a work around for in 2007.1, the first of which is when I select an application to install in MCC and the application has dependencies the dialog box comes up to tell me so, but, it is empty. Only when I proceed to apply do I get a list of dependencies. I can put up with this but it only came up with a clean install of 2007.1...
Same here ...

Suddenly, when i start firefox i get this error massage:
[ilia@localhost ~]$ firefox /usr/lib/firefox-2.0.0.3/run-mozilla.sh: line 131: 4809 Segmentation fault "$prog" ${1+"$@"} [ilia@localhost ~]$
I don't remember doing something unusual. Need help.
Thanks.

Please do let us know whether it does or doesn't, I'm trying to keep tabs :) thanks!
Seems like it's OK now.

Well, I switched to another mirror, maybe that will solve the problem.
Thanks.

or become root and type "nautilus" hit enter

thanks! that's the kind of info I need :). Can I also see your /etc/urpmi/urpmi.cfg ?
The error tells me the package is signed with key 70771ff3 , which is correct for /main. So the problem is likely that urpmi has associated the wrong key with /main on your machine for some reason.

Double click the crystal theme... restart firefox.... then double click default theme and restart firefox... Its like stuck or something. Weird. I did that and it worked fine.
That worked, thanks!

How can i set the default FireFox theme? In 2007.1 FF comes with Crystal theme and it seems impossible to switch back to default.

This what i got:

Can you view normally web pages? I mean does your internet connection work?
Did you use "urpmi.addmedia" similar to easy-urpmi instructions?
You can try using "--wget" option. That will use wget instead default curl.

In fact it might be possible to sort-of "refresh" mount options for at least some mount points. I've never tried it, but you may want to try the "-o remount" option; see mount man page.
Yves.
Didn't notice this section in man file, thank you.

2007 one is great. No problems during installation and it is really fast, comparing to Ubuntu and even Kubuntu. It loads a live system faster indeed, as arctic said.
Pity it doesn't have my country when it asks about your location

Despite signatures errors the packages i installed are still working. I wonder what may causes them... Maybe it is just poor configured mirror site?
-
mount -a (assuming they're set up in /etc/fstab)
Yes, thanks, but "mount -a" just mounts all devices that are listed in fstab (according to man pages), but doesn't remount them all to reveal all changes.
Now when I think about this, it is impossible to remount all devices so the OS could still run...
So my question was pointless...
Thank you jboy

But how can I remount all devices without rebooting?
-
I just did my upgrades and had more bad signature errors than I can count. Anybody else have this problem?
Yes, I had a couple of errors too while tried to install mplayer...
-
Just installed 2007.1 One. So far so good, I like it.

Good review. I think I'll try this new release. Its been a while since i used Mandriva, lets see how it is doing...
Upgrading One to Free [solved]
in Installing Mandriva
Posted
Mandriva one is a strip down version of mandriva free, that contains only a fraction of packages so it could fit on one CD. You can add to MDV-one packages from 2007.1 Free easy-urpmi mirrors, so no upgrade or installation needed. Of course the packages that you could get on Free CDs - you have to download them separately, if you need them at all.
