mtweidmann
I've been playing around with XawTV trying to get video capture to work . After adding the "-noxv" option at launch capture started working. I can now capture a .avi file but I don't get any sound. The source is my TV card, a WinTV theatre. Suggestions? qnr
Things to check: 1. Does your card require that you run a jack from its audio out to the line-in on your sound card? 2. Have you checked your mixer settings? Is the appropriate port set for recording, and is the audio up? 3. Is the proper tuner module being loaded? mtweidmann
My TV card uses the line-in port on the sound card, not one of the internal connectors. I've just tried setting this as the recording source, but it didn't make any difference, still no sound. The tuner and sound are setup properly, I think. The TV card works fine, sound and picture quality is good.
