Qchem
What seems to be the problem? Is it a serial or usb modem? What have you tried so far?
Guest Ken7
To Grant, My ML 10.1 software can find modem during Add New connection= U.S. Robotics 56K Fax Ext (dev/ttyS0, since I don't know DNS; IP Address; or Gateway, I leave them on Auto. My computer dials out to the Access no, and I can hear them handshake, but it doesn't connect. So I thought if I knew the DNS & IP Address it might help. I have tried PeoplePC techs for over 3 weeks, but they won't tell me. The crazy thing is if I use Kppp, I connect every time. What's the difference ? ken7
Qchem
So you have it working with kppp? I'm not really sure where the difference can be, but if it works with kppp I'd probably just try to stick with using that - if theres a good reason why you can't then post back and we'll see if someone comes up with a good idea.
