Guest LethalKrn
For some strange reason, I dont seem to have spell check on OpenOffice in Mandrake 9. I am using the default installation rpms and I figures it would be there, but it isnt. What is the best way fix this. Its pretty much the only real annoyance I have with mandrake...hehe thanks for any response andy

beesea
go to tools -> options -> language settings -> writing aids. make sure that the openoffice myspell spellchecker is checked. click on the edit button and make sure that its checked there also. you may also have to install the myspell package for your language. DragonMage
Well, we already discuss this and we found a solution. Go to http://www.mandrakeusers.org/viewtopic.php?p=4293#4293 And read down from there..
beesea
from reading that link, it looks like some of you had to go through a lot more to get theirs to work. guess i lucked out!
DragonMage
Nah, that's basically caused by using the old configuration files (from the old /home in previous version of mandrake). If you are installing mandrake 9 to a freshly formatted hd (formatting everything), then the problem is not that great.
ral
In my case, the solution was simple (though it took a long time getting there). I just had to add Try adding my-spell-en_US-xxxxx using the package manager. Search it out and check if it is installed. If not, installing this should be enough.
