Guest makra
Hi freaks, when it is not too comlicate, I am planning to install a second kernel. In former times, I have seen a system with about three or four kernels. It seemed to be easy to have some parallel kernels. I need the EMC-kernel. Could be, it´s quite old, but real time. Good to control computer numeric mashines, that is EMC for. makra
BertoldK
Whenever you install Mandrake with option "update", it takes into account what is already installed and installs in parallel to the existing system. In addition, it makes the appropriate entries into Lilo. That means that you have to install your extra OS before you install mandrake. Guest anon
You can install as many kernels as you have room for. Just make sure your etc/lilo.conf is edited correctly. Look half way down this page for tips http://www.mandrakesecure.net/en/docs/magic.php
