Mandrake 9.1 and Plantronics DSP-400

I'm somewhat of a noob when it comes to linux and was wondering if anyone has successfully gotten Plantronics DSP-400 headphones to work with Linux. They are a set of usb headphones with a DSP inline with the headphones. When I plug them in on boot when it's checking for module dependencies it just hangs. Would I be able to load the drivers for the chipset in the dsp and have it work that way or would I just have to get a pair of analog headpones or what? I'm not sure on how to go about doing this so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I couldn't find any info for Linux for these. See if you can look in Mandrake Control Center under hardware and see if it lists a different chipset. Also try usbview and see if you can see them once they are plugged in after you boot.

Also, look in these two places:

http://www.tuxmobil.org/usb_linux.html
