Flash sound desynchronized

mandrake 9.1, 9.2

mozilla 1.4 or Konqueror.

with flash plugin installed from rpm (from texstar as I remember) I noticed that sound is delayed (about half second). I've tried another flash plugin (from netscape) but I could not get the sound at all.

Does anyone have sound synchronized with picture in flash animations?

If so - what is proper configuration?

You don't say what kind of connection you have. But I get that sometimes with my dial-up. Maybe that's it?

Another thing to consider is whether you are using kde. Arts seems to have a 1/2 second delay in loading any sound file. It's unnoticable in audio files, but in animation such as flash, it's noticable.

so it may be question of setting some buffer for arts?

I never actually played with this option in kde control system, but there you go. It's in the sound -> sound system -> sound i/o module. There is a slider that changes the audio buffer size. Try adjusting it and see whether there is a setting good enough for you.

I don't ever use aRTs, and there's still a delay in flash animations for me. Maybe it's an overall KDE thing.
