Guest siko9
Hi, I have downloaded the files to update my MDK 9.1 installation, I have created an "update_source" (sorry, dont reember the exact name) and I have only this source enabled (and not Install CDs 1 or 2). MDK correclly detects and shows the availability of a lot of packages to update. I have a policy of keeping installed software to a minimum, and since there seems to be a lot of packages to update, I would like to ask: Are all those offered packages new versions of already present ones, or are they new versions AND available but not installed packs?. in other word, should I install them all ? Thanks in advance.
scoopy
You are most likely looking at something like this. If you click on the selection at left for "All Packages" and change to "by update repository," you should get two separate lists. The first is addable, which are currently not installed on your system and the second is upgradeable, which are installed. Or... you could select the Maximum Information selection on the right side and this will tell you if installed, what version you currently do have installed, which source the update was found in, plus a whole lot more.
