Guest seven212
I'm running mandrake 9.0, in KDE, if I go to kicker|quick browser|root|mnt| and put mouse over floppy, it shows "failed to read disk" Which is fine, because I had no disk in there, but after that, it just keeps reading, about 2 times a second, until I logout. I'm pretty sure this is a bug.
Guest seven212
I assume by the lack of response people never heard of this. Can some people try this and tell me if it happens to them.
spiedra
When you use the quick browser and put your mouse on /mnt/floppy, it will attempt to read the floppy. It wouldn't be any different then browsing to the floppy from a console. As for the continual reading of the floppy drive until you log out, I haven't heard of it before. Maybe a supermount issue, but since there is no media in the drive, it's hard to say.
