Strange !

my post was deleted and moved to another thread on another part of the forum !!

So i will start it again, as i haven't found the solution yet.

:help:

I'm using 2 screens on my computer (GF2mx card with proprietary nvidia drivers)

I setup my card with the twinview option.

Screens apears like one screen but with xinerama extensions..

It works pretty well, except that the gnome panel (or the kde panel) only covers one screen. On the second screen the place where the panel should be is just black.

I would like to extend my panel on the 2 screens, while keeping the xinerama functionality (ie maximising a window make it fit in ONE screen).

"I want the "toolbar" across the bottom of both screens (not one separate for each side) and to be able to drag a window across both screens, yet not have full screen actually expand to both screens. "

How can i do that ?

If i had two monitors and a spare video card, i might be real usufull... but as i dont:

I dont think you will be able to make applications to maximize to one entire desktop (in one monitor) while having them in the "simulate-one-huge-monitor" function (the panel sharing the two screens). At least in virtual mode, i cant make maximization to the virtual display.

Just to recomfort you; i envy you. :evilmod:
