kilimanjaro
Aloha Everyone I just bought a new toshiba A505d and I am having problems with the sound. First it isn't very loud, and then it cuts out after a few minutes. I installed aumix and it is turned to full, no difference. any ideas? kili [moved from Software by spinynorman]
boatman9
Just a wild guess, but you could try the alsaconf program. I once had a laptop with a newly installed version of Mandriva which played all sounds too fast and at a high pitch, and also with gaps of silence. After running alsaconf the sound worked fine. David Batson
You might try the steps in this excellent guide to pulseaudio and vlc setup on the Fedora Forums. AFAIK, it should work for Mandriva. http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=225660
