Guest karelj
When I try to configure SAMBA via SWAT I get An error occured while loading http://localhost:901/: Could not connect to host localhost (port 901) Reminds me of a similar problem on my RH 7.o box that was dues to a bug in xinetd and was worked around by editing a bunch of host files... upgrading to RH 7.3 fixed it. But I have no idea what is causing this now../etc/hosts ahs the localhost listing, smb.conf seems to be correct, the SAMBA service and server is running and can be seen thru network view and via my RH 7.3 box.... uhhh... help??? Glitz
I am using 9.2 and I had no problem logging in after clicking on the link in your message. Are you sure SWAT is enabled and running? Go to Mandrake Control Center and under System->DrakXServices check that it is running. Also, try the root account name and password (although it worked with my regular user as well). Glitz. fuzzylizard
Cool, I was having the same problem, but that fixed it. Make sure that it is checked to start upon request and it should solve the problem. Did it for me.
