phunni
I've just bought a new PC and was busy getting ready to install mdk 9.1 on it. I got the screen where I am asked what options I want to start (or just enter for default install). After that screen, I get the flashing leds on my keyboard and nothing else. Now it is possible that it's the PC - I built it together with my brother in law. But I doubt this as Arch, knoppix and win 2k CDs can all boot fine. I suspect the cause is the memory - I have 1024MB I don't know if there is any way to tell the installer how to handle this. I've tried using linux mem=1024M and it didn't help Any ideas? pmpatrick
Boy, that's an old 9.1 installer bug. The magic command to get it to go is "linux vga=0". Here's a link describing the bug: http://www.mandrakelinux.com/en/91errata.php3#fb
